Unlicensed drugs

Many patients suffer from illnesses that lead to severe disability or can even be life-threatening. In many cases, these conditions cannot yet be treated satisfactorily with a licensed drug.

But there are innovative drugs showing sufficient efficacy and safety but may still be in clinical trial development or already in the approval process.

Such drugs can be provided to a certain patient group in so-called “Compassionate Use” programs prior to their approval.
